March goals

Is it just me or are we all pretty excited to bring in a new month?  I really enjoyed the snow/ice that North Carolina got in February but I won’t turn down Spring weather!  {And I’m crossing my fingers that March is delivering on that one.}

Here’s a quick look back at February’s goals.

1. New recipe.  I made a new soup on Thursday and David made a pasta recipe on Saturday.  Since we made them kind of late in the month, I haven’t had the chance to share them.
2.  Devotions on the weekends.  We’re getting better but certainly not 100% around here.
3.  Advertise F+F on other blogs.  I have made some strides on the blog but didn’t set up any sponsorships yet.  I’ve been spending all my time working on the studio aspect and will be sharing those details soon!

4.  Have a unique Valentine’s celebration.  We had mimosas and spent the whole day together.  It was laid back and perfect.

5.  Get the house/my life in order.  It’s much easier to check this one off the list post basketball season.

1.  Make one new recipe.  I love forcing myself to do this every month because I’m definitely the type that has to force myself to do it.  Otherwise it would never happen.  I get in meal ruts because I like to make things that are simple, quick and contain ingredients that I have on hand regularly.  So the new recipe every month is a good reminder to branch out.
2.  Host supper club.  I’m kinda cheating on this one because we’re already on the schedule to do it.  But I still want to be able to cross it off the list at the end of the month.
3.  Organize and setup the studio.  I got a jump on this yesterday organizing the office but it has been a “catch-all” room that got even worse during basketball season and after Christmas decorations came down.  Do you have one of those rooms?  But it will be organized and cleaned out in the next few weeks.  I’m amazed at how much stuff {that we don’t need} was in there.
4.  Celebrate David’s birthday!  This time last year I was in the middle of 30 for 30 and planning a surprise party.  This year things will be a little more low-key but I still want to make it special.
5.  Do devotions on the weekends.  We’ve still gotta work on this one.

I’m excited for what March will bring.  What do you have in mind?  Write down some goals for the month – it will make you much more accountable!

  • Great job on the Feb goals & good look in Mar! I love making new recipes.

    • Me too. Especially when they turn out!

  • Those mimosas look yummy! Thanks for linking up!

    • They were so good… and I even got to drink both of them because the hubs “doesn’t like champagne.” Ok… I gotcha covered 😉

  • Sounds like some great goals! I also want to start sponsoring blogs. It’s been almost a year since I’ve done a sponsorship (I’m not counting winning the free one). I’m also working getting my own sponsorship program together and I’m really excited about it!

    • Fun!! I need to learn some about all that. It seems like there’s always so much to learn and I just don’t have the time to learn everything I want to.

Claire, I love your new Black and Blue goals list! 😉

    • Thanks, Pat! Excited for new things in March.

  • I used to be really good about making a new recipe a week, but then I had a child and that stopped pretty quickly. I like the goal of making a new one each month though!

    • Yeah, it’s really doable for me. And I’m no chef!

  • Good goals!! I need to do the weekend devotions, too! And new recipes are always a good goal. This is my Wednesday post, so I may have to add a few! 😉

    • Don’t you love doing the monthly goals thing? I really enjoy making myself find a new recipe to try each month. Several have even gotten added to the “rotation.”

  • Great goals! It’s so true about writing things down because it definitely holds you more accountable. I’m planning to eat healthier and stick to my workout plans!

    • Seriously! I never even made monthly goals before I started blogging. How are your eat healthier and workout plans going?
