  • I could live on sushi and you don’t even like it…HOOTS, since that’s what I’m calling you from now on – what would we eat if we hung out LOL! xo, Biana – BlovedBoston

    • Hahaha! I know… what am I thinking? We have some friends who love sushi and we get chicken at the Japanese restaurant. We’re so lame. Hoots is what all my favorite students call me – and most of the coaches at school. Ohhhh, the life of a high school teacher!

  • Ahhhh, the days of the UPS store! How did chicken fingers not make it on the list?? :)

    • I was kind of brain-dead when I was writing it. So many of them I had to stop and think about. Or I could only come up with with like 2 things in a given category. #latenightblogging

  • Dont worry, I hate sushi too! But I could live on anything made out of potatoes…even potato sushi. As long as it didnt contain fish haha!

    • Haha, is that a real thing? Potato sushi?

  • Loooooove this! And “alright” is such a teacher thing to say :)

    • It really is, isn’t it? I find myself saying it allllll the time.

  • So fun to learn more about you! Oh, and I love the outfit pic with your hair up – fabulous!

    • Thanks! That’s one of my favorite photoshoots to date :)

  • Aww, I’m sad you don’t like sushi! Do you like hibachi? Also, I’ve gotta ask where you are going on vacation this year of course! :)

    • We don’t do cool/extravagant vacations like you do!! We’re going to the beach with my family and the beach with David’s family. Most likely back to back weeks!

  • I need to see Pitch Perfect, everyone keeps telling me I’ll love it! And, you hated working at Target? How is that possible? I would buy way too much stuff if I worked there. I LOVE that fringe scarf in your last outfit!

    • Pitch Perfect is so great – and the second one’s coming out soon, I think. I worked at Target in high school and I had to work so many hours and the manager was an awful woman.

  • Eww sushi. Which lake? I’m an NC girl too….mainly Norman for me but I need to spread my flippers a bit! xxAmanda

    • We mostly go to Lake Hickory – so not far from Norman!

  • I love posts like this. It’s fun learning more about the person behind the blog. I am NOT a sushi person either. So gross! Retail jobs are some of the worst jobs ever. Pretty much the only perk is the discount. LOL!

    • Yeah, I did not enjoy that Target job at all! There’s been a few other non-sushi lovers that have commented, too. I was kind of surprised because most people just LOVE their sushi.

  • Love these things about you so much. Ya know what is incredible crazy and coincidental? I get called Hoots too because the last four digits of my phone number spell hoot and I love owls. Ha!!

    • That’s hilarious!! Who knew we’d have so much in common?

Loving this post! I also share a love for all things mashed potatoes and sometimes at a restaurant I order a salad and something potato. Although I do love some sushi! Your nicknames were quite funny to read!

  • Love these types of posts! Getting to know bloggers is so much fun especially with prompts like this! My favorite food? Basically anything you do to a potato as well. French Fries are sooooo tasty!

  • Ohhhh! I love getting to know more about you. What is it with schools and calling each other by their last name? I’m only referred to as Grant now… and I don’t hate it. :) And… NO SUSHI? What?!? xoxo

    • I know, I’m weird. And yes, it’s definitely a school thing with the whole last name calling thing. I don’t hate it either.

  • Aw I love this post! I must say I love your name Hoots, that is totally something I would call you if I met you in person just because it’s adorable haha.

    • :) It’s grown on me since I got married 5 years ago. A lot of my students/athletes call me “Hoots” and I like it so much better than Mrs. Hoots.
