Fashion {experiment} week | sweater + summer dress

I’m always looking for ways to extend the life of my clothes. Two ways to wear is a big deal around here. My summer dresses almost always get some love in the winter because I can throw a jacket, scarf and boots with it during colder months. But a chunky, slouchy sweater over a short, summer dress? This is a first for me. I’ve been wanting to try this look after seeing many others perfect it.

Love this look on you! I’ve done a sweater over a maxi dress but never tried it over a spring dress. I really like out it turned out. I really love the way you styled your hair too! So cute!

  I like it that way too because it doesn’t take any time to do it and it stays out of my face all day long!! So it’s a good change of pace… that’s the reason I like having long hair.

  Yes, try it out!! I think the key is to have a short dress and a long sweater. That’s what I was noticing about all the inspiration looks I found.

  I always do cardigans or jackets but this one was a fun change. The sunglasses came from Wal-Mart for $5. I always buy a cheap pair for the lake… because I’ve been known to lose a few out there… but I liked these so much that they go beyond the lake!
