Fridays are my favorite

Happy Friday! I always love seeing the weekend roll around. These are a few of my favorite moments from this week.

We had Monday off. And typically when a three day weekend is approaching, I’m anticipating it. But somehow, this one kind of snuck up on me. And it was glorious. We had a very laid back day and it gave me the chance to get ahead on laundry and a few things. {Getting ahead is a foreign concept during basketball season.} Plus, the best thing about a three day weekend is the four day week!

So many friends and family made me feel really special on my birthday. Thank you so much for all the calls, comments, hugs, texts, cards, shoutouts, etc.

David started the morning off with pancakes {with peanut butter!} and he made me my favorite thing ever… chex mix. My girls hid in the bleachers at practice yesterday and sang to me. We finished out the day at Outback {gotta get that Wallaby Darned}.

And the real party is this weekend.

This week at school has been exam week. I know the kids hate it but for teachers, it provides a little bit of down time to prepare for the upcoming semester.

And downtime is incredible, especially when you’re used to zero.

I’ve had new jamberry nails sitting on my dresser for two or three weeks and I finally decided to put them to use this week. I love them and I’m hoping these last another 3 weeks like my last one’s did.

My faux fur vest came in this week!! And I already wore it.

It turned out to be my birthday present to myself, apparently. I can’t wait to do a two ways to wear on this one!
