Thanksgiving came four days after Ariana was due and while I was pregnant, I kept saying,   “I just hope she arrives before Thanksgiving.”  And arrive she did, giving our Thanksgiving a little extra meaning this year.

She got to meet her Uncle Eric, Aunt Amy and cousin Avery on Wednesday.  While the boys went to the Charlotte Hornets game, the girls went to dinner.  The youngest two slept through the entire meal.

Thanksgiving day started off celebrating with the Hoots… lunch, Kan Jam and a backyard football game.

And then Ariana handled her first road trip like a champ as we headed to Winston to celebrate with the Pierces.

It’s hard to believe how much has changed in just one year.  This time last year, life revolved around basketball.  Now, life mostly consists of waking up at night and snuggling during the day.  And I couldn’t be more thankful.
