Weekending | The unpicture edition

Yes, I just made up that word.  Unpicture.

Friday, Dave and I were both in a get it done mood.  He mowed the lawn while I did some cleaning around the house.  Then we decided to grab some dinner from Longhorn or Outback.  On our way to dinner, we remembered a few errands that needed to be run so we got those things checked off our lists, too.  After accomplishing so much, we settled on Chick-fil-A for dinner instead.

On Saturday, Kenzie had some volleyball scrimmages in the area plus it was Mom’s birthday so we decided to have a family day.  After watching a few of her scrimmages, everyone came back over here for a delicious feast.  David’s the grillmaster and Saturday did not disappoint.

Sunday is mostly synonymous with lazy around here and yesterday was no exception.  Here was our lineup: Draft Day, Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story and The ACMs.  Both movies were really good and Blake hosted the ACMs with some killer performances.

How was your weekend?

    • Productive Friday nights are rare around here but it was nice to feel like we had so much done so early in the weekend. Kind of freed up everything else! And Chick-fil-A hit the spot!

  • I love the hashtags for each day!!! Productive weekends are the best – and I’m glad you guys had a great one! xo, Biana – BlovedBoston

    • Haha, trying to spice it up a little since I had no pictures!

  • I still haven’t seen Draft Day! The hashtags totally make up for a lack of pictures.

    • Draft Day was really good! I don’t do a good job of keeping up with movies but David’s really into them. So there’s a lot of times when he starts one and if it keeps my attention, I’ll watch it with him. I love sports movies, especially when they have Kevin Costner.

  • Your weekend sounds fabulously relaxing. I need to get in on those “quiet, relaxing days.” I guess I had enough over the last two years that I should be solidly stocked up, but homegirl is TIRED! haha

    • Don’t you wish you really could stock up on sleep sometimes? Somehow it just doesn’t work that way :(

  • haha love the hashtags! I had all of these grand ambitions to spring clean the house and I didn’t do ANYTHING around the house. We ended up spending most of our weekend outdoors which was much needed anyway.

    • Well you can enjoy the outdoors for us too because David has a sinus infection {thank you, allergies} and it’s been raining here nonstop for like the last 8 days. It’s insane. So if i had the chance to enjoy the outdoors, I would do the same. Way better than spring cleaning!

  • The ACM’s were amazing!! Nothing like hot country music boys!!! Loved it all. Glad you had a wonderful weekend sweet girl!

    • I just love Blake Shelton and some of those performances were on point!

  • Gifted Hands is a great movie! The book is pretty good too.

    • I kind of forgot that it was a book until we had already started the movie. Usually, I won’t watch any movies until I’ve read the book. I want to read it now!

  • It seems that you had a great weekend! Loving the unpicture concept! Have a great one!

    • Haha, it was kind of by accident but sometimes you just gotta roll with it, ya know?

I heard the ACMs were awesome. Sounds like a fabulous weekend, lady.

    • If only weekends would last a little longer! Hope yours was great, too!

  • Love this! Aren’t productive weekends (without pictures) so necessary? Hope you are having a great week! xoxo
