Exploring Asheville

Ahhh, the weekend.  But it went by too fast.

 Usually Sundays are my big-time blog day.  And laundry.  So that combination doesn’t work too well for photographing our bedroom.  Kaitlyn told me I needed to do more house pictures and since our bedroom has my favorite decorations, I was going to share it today.  But since it’s laundry day up in here, the room’s not exactly photo-ready.

Ok, plan B.  Usually, Dave takes my fashion pictures on Sundays.  But since I’ve been doing this running thing, this is my look.

Not exactly the best for a fashion blog.  {This running thing is miserable, by the way, but I am running a little farther each time so I guess I’m counting that as success.}

So, it’s a good thing the weekend was packed full of fun!  Megan {you know… the girl who introduced us?} came for the weekend and Dave decided we needed to go on an adventure.  I’ve been wanting to go to the mountains and we had perfect weather.  Usually, our mountain go-to is Blowing Rock but since this was an adventure, we branched out to Asheville.  It was a blast.  I’ll let pictures tell the story.

Aren’t you loving Megan’s shirt?  She found hers at the JCREW Factory Outlet but I found a similar one online from Gap.

But they only have sizes large and extra large.  So I was a little bummed.  I’m on the lookout for this shirt.

Hope you had a great weekend!

    Great pictures! Looks like yAll had a blast! What is the story behind the random man with sports equipment around him ?

    • He was juggling and telling stories. He let these little girls pick which three items he should juggle. While we were standing there, he juggled the wine bottle, TV remote and high heel and made up some story about a lady who lost one shoe, sitting on the couch drinking wine… or something to that extent. He was pretty impressive.

  • Carolyn Campbell (Grandmother)

    Claire, looks like fun in Asheville. We went to the Asheville Farmers Market coming back from SC last time. It is a good thing to tour if you have an extra hour and close to the interstate. Loved the pictures of the trees and the fall look and you guys looked great. Hope you find the shirt. Love that too.

    • Oooh, I bet the farmers market had tons of great stuff.

  • I love Asheville entirely too much!! Also–yay for the running! Stick with it, you’ll keep surprising yourself! I couldn’t run to the end of my driveway in February, and now I’m consistently running 3+ miles!

    • Ugh. I just hope I can do 3 miles by Novemeber 8th! {Fingers crossed!}

  • I love going on adventures! I really need to get back into running.

    • I really don’t enjoy it at all but I’m determined to be able to do something resembling running at a 5k I’ve signed up for on November 8th.
